 INNOVATION OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY IN PHILIPPINE SETTINGS
The students are reminded  that it is best to teach students in the vernacular and that in our current age, the digital world is the vernacular of children. By incorporating technology instead of avoiding it, it hopes to provide improvement and enrichment to education in the Philippines. Embracing technology also allows teachers the opportunity to properly guide children in the proper and responsible use of technology.

This project is a first in the country because no other educational institution had attempted to pursue a completely digitalized curriculum before. As such the project will be broken down into five phases to slowly integrate technology into students’ school life. It will also help to alleviate the cost of implementing such an ambitious system.

1. Describe the education system of Bhutan. Itemize your answer.

Primary Education

Education in Bhutan in the mountainous region between China and India is a voluntary affair, because many of the people live in far-flung places where they follow traditional lives. In larger settlements where primary schools exist, children are taught for seven years, mainly in English.

Secondary Education

Even fewer children complete a further four years of secondary education, which follows a general academic curriculum without opportunities for specialization. More wealthy parents have the choice of sending children to private schools instead, often in foreign countries.

Tertiary Education

There is a single higher-level junior college, and two teacher training colleges. The sole tertiary institution is the University of Bhutan, founded by royal decree in 2003 and illustrated here.


Its faculties offer diplomas and degree courses in science & technology, business studies, traditional medicine, language & culture, education, health sciences, natural resources, and management. Students whose needs are not catered for will study elsewhere abroad.

2. Discuss the SIF, ICT in education project briefly.
The Singapore International Foundation (SIF) ICT in Education project was initiated in 2000 to assist Bhutan's Ministry of Health and Education (MoHE) to introduce ICT into its education system to help bridge the gap between the low ICT-skills among pupils (the future workforce) and the growing adoption of ICT technology in the workplace. The project, conducted by the SIF Specialist information technology (IT) team, also trained teacher educators and curriculum design specialists to utilize ICT in their work and to integrate computer-based training materials into the school curriculum. Funding for the project was obtained from the Singapore Government and philanthropic foundations in Singapore.
3. What is Bhutan's EIT curriculum?
The EIT or Enhanced Information Technology is the ten module curriculum that was developed in Bhutan, is similar in terms of course work demands to other courses offered in the Bachelor of Education programme, requiring a period of 3 years to complete. In addition to taking the EIT modules, trainee teachers also specialize in another discipline.
4. Explain the categories on the use of computer technology in education.
a.     “Computers can be considered as an object which student learn about.” The students know the functions of computer as a model, the computer itself has a part that we need to know. The hardware is the tangible parts of the computer and the software is the intangible which can be seen in our monitor. As students, we need to be knowledgeable about it in order for us to have a background in starting of using computer.
b.     “Computer technologies can be an aspect, which means using them as tools in subject, such as computer-aided design courses, or as general tools in education settings, such as the use of graphic design software to create web pages for a school.” We all know that computer technology nowadays were have many benefit to us as a students. Many impossible things can be possible because of the use of technology. The students will become creative and innovative for using computer technology as a tool in their studies that enhance their skills to be a competitive one.
c.     “Computer technologies are a medium for instruction. In this category, computer technologies can be used for teaching and learning.” In this 21st century education, using technology is the primary factor of instructional materials for learning process. Technology by the use of computers can help every students to broaden their skills and knowledge to access in every educational site to improve their educational outcomes in performing what they have learned in their lessons.

all about me....

My name is magiline oraa, but most of my friends, relatives and classmates call me "madz". i am a native of barangay Tayhawan Municipality of Lezo Province of Aklan. at the middle of  five children of Mr. and Mrs. Emilio Oraa II.i am a former student of Aklan State University teachers Education Center  then, worked as a cashier at Kalibo International Airport but  now, an irregular students of Northwestern Visayan Colleges taking up Bachelor of  Secondary Education Major in English. i love reading bible and listening gospel song which makes me feel relax and gives me peace of mind. as a youth president in our church i have a lot of younger brothers and sisters who calls me "ate". taking the task and responsibilities that trained me more to be a better person. "trust God's first before myself and the others is my principle in life". Jesus takes my wheel is what i know and what i hold on to live life better and successful in all terms.
